A privacy policy is a binding legal representation of what you actually do with personal information. This draft must be reviewed by a licensed attorney and reconciled against your real stack — every Shopify app, advertising pixel, analytics tool, and email or SMS platform in use. Sections marked below need your specific inventory before they are accurate.
Who we are
Maxen is a brand of Daredia Life Sciences LLC, a United States limited liability company, BUSINESS ADDRESS. We are the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Privacy questions and requests: privacy@maxen.com

- Reviews, survey responses, and customer support messages

Card details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.
Health-related information
If you tell us about your health in a support message, product review, or survey — for example, a condition, medication, or symptom — we treat that as sensitive personal information. We use it only to answer your question, and we do not use it for advertising or sell it.
How we use it
- Processing and fulfilling your orders and subscriptions
- Providing customer support and responding to your messages
- Managing your account and subscription preferences
- Sending transactional messages: order confirmations, shipping notifications, renewal reminders
- Sending marketing communications, where you've consented
- Detecting and preventing fraud and abuse
- Improving our products, website, and service
- Complying with legal obligations, including tax and consumer protection law
Sale and sharing for advertising
If you run advertising pixels — Meta, Google Ads, TikTok — this generally counts as “selling” or “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising under California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other state privacy laws. If so, you must say so plainly here and provide a working “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in your site footer, plus honor Global Privacy Control signals.
State plainly: whether you sell or share personal information, which categories, and to which types of third parties. Then link the opt-out.
We do not sell the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16 years of age.
Email and SMS
We send marketing email only where you've opted in. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional messages about your orders and subscriptions.
Text messages
If you opt in to text messages, message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to cancel, or HELP for assistance. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of purchase.
SMS consent must be collected separately and affirmatively — it cannot be bundled into general acceptance of your terms, and the checkbox cannot be pre-checked. Keep records of consent.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence — including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as their laws take effect — you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we've collected about you, and access a copy of it
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Port your data to another service
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Opt out of targeted advertising
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
California residents may also request, once per year, a list of third parties to whom we disclosed personal information for their direct marketing purposes, under California's “Shine the Light” law.
Submitting a request
Email privacy@maxen.com with the request type and the email address on your account. We'll verify your identity before acting — typically by confirming order details or emailing the address on file.
We respond within 45 days, and may extend once where permitted by law with notice to you. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. Confirm your appeals process — several states require one.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information as long as needed to provide our service, meet legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Order records are typically retained for seven years for tax purposes.
Children
Maxen products and this website are intended for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, email privacy@maxen.com and we'll delete it.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you by email or a notice on the site.
